Extensions are available for desktop Chrome (and Chromium browsers like Edge, Brave, Arc), Firefox, and Safari. On any other browser, you can use the web app directly or set it as your start page URL in browser settings.

Sign in on any browser and your pages, widgets, settings, and data sync automatically. Add a link on your laptop, it appears on your phone. Rearrange widgets on your tablet, the change is there on your desktop.

The browser extension is the primary way to use Start Page HQ - it replaces your new tab page so your workspace is there every time you open a tab. But it also works as a regular web app if you prefer not to install anything.

Pages let you organize widgets into separate contexts - like Work, News, Tools, or Projects. Switch between them with a single click. Each page has its own set of widgets and layout.

8 of the 63: Tasks (the kanban board), Google Calendar, Photo Frame, Stripe Sales, Uptime Monitor, and the three t0ggles widgets. The other 55 - feeds, notes, todo, tools, weather, clocks, charts, and the AI widgets - work on the free plan, where TradingView charts are capped at 2 per page.

A Container holds two widgets side by side in a two-column layout. This lets you mix full-width and split-width widgets on the same page for flexible, dense dashboard layouts.

The free plan comes with 50 credits once, at signup - they do not refill. Monthly includes 500 credits every month, Annual 5,000 every year, and Lifetime 10,000 up front. The three paid plans unlock exactly the same things - unlimited pages, all 63 widgets, uploads, app connections, public sharing, custom feeds - and differ only in billing and credits: Monthly is $3.99/month with 500 credits a month, Annual is $25/year with 5,000 a year, and Lifetime is $49 one-time with 10,000.

All non-AI widgets continue to work, on every plan. You can buy a credit pack at any time, including on the free plan. There is no interruption to your workspace.

You keep full access until the end of your billing period. Your dashboard then goes read-only for 14 days - everything is still there to read, and resubscribing in that window restores it instantly. After that the account trims back to the free plan: your first page keeps up to 8 widgets, and your AI credits stay, since those were paid for. What goes at that point is the extra pages, the 8 paid-only widgets, uploaded images, and custom feed URLs. Your account is never deleted.

Dark and light themes, 10 accent colors, 29 built-in wallpapers (or your own uploaded image on a paid plan), per-widget styling (solid, clear, or outline), individual widget colors, grid or list views, and widget-specific layout options. You can also enable a two-column page layout for denser dashboards.

Yes. Open the appearance settings, turn on Wallpaper, and pick from 29 built-in backgrounds - scenic photos and soft abstract gradients - on any plan, including free. Uploading an image of your own needs a paid plan. Widgets adapt automatically: they turn to frosted glass over the wallpaper so the page stays readable in both dark and light themes. Your wallpaper syncs to every browser and device you sign in on.

Yes. On iOS, a companion app is required to install the Safari extension. On any other mobile browser, you can use Start Page HQ as a web app or set it as your start page URL in browser settings.
