There are only two bad things about humans going extinct: we'll take a large number of species which don't deserve to go extinct with us; and we won't actually go extinct but just get knocked back to a tiny population so that, in fifty thousand years, we get to fuck the ecosystem again.

I saw someone posting a similar picture on LinkedIn and obviously the comments were all about it being AI generated,it's actually just the weather and not climate, these fires always happened, and it's a hoax.
And AI can fix all of this.

It can. Just not in the ways people think, just by exponentially accelerating tfb's scenario above.
After being the frog slowly boiling in the pot for weeks it suddenly struck me that 40 years ago us UK kids moaned when we got mid-20C temperatures because it was too hot to play outside during school holidays.
Now low-to-mid 20s feels *cold* in late spring and the majority don't seem to think this is an issue.

Wildberries smoke plumes are much darker. Sky-turned-off kind of dark.
