Process Development Engineer

Delivering a highly efficient, sustainable carbon removal solution, our fully electric process requires minimal energy, operates without solvents, and produces no hazardous waste. As a fast-growing company, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Physicist or Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineer to develop and commercialize our electrochemical carbon capture technologies.

Position Overview:

In this role you will be a key part of the process development activities for RepAir’s electrochemical CO₂ capture stack platform, translating experimental stack behavior into robust operating windows, system requirements, test methods, and engineering decisions. The role bridges hands-on stack experimentation, data analysis, instrumentation selection, system design input, vendor coordination, and cross-functional technical communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own ,Design, execute, and analyze experiments from test definition through operation, troubleshooting, data extraction, analysis, and reporting. to advance electrochemical stack performance.

- Develop and refine testing methodologies for evaluating materials, components, and system behavior.

- Convert experimental findings into practical engineering recommendations for Hardware, instrumentation, and system architecture.

- Conduct simulations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, thermal, and flow) to optimize stack operation and inform experimental design.

- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world performance.

- Collaborate with R&D, system engineering and Support scale-up from lab tests toward larger stack/system demonstrations by identifying technical risks, de-risking experiments, required sensors, control loops, and operational constraints.Prepare concise technical summaries, decision memos, requirement tables, and presentation materials for internal stakeholders, management, and external partners.

Qualifications:Education:

- BSc in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field – Must.

- MSc/PhD – An advantage.

Experience & Skills:

- Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving in a technical setting.

- Hands-on experience designing, executing, and troubleshooting experiments in pilot-scale/industrial  environments.

- Experience in process optimization and scale-up of complex engineering systems – An advantage.

- Proven ability to analyze multi-parameter datasets and extract actionable engineering insights (e.g., performance trends, failure modes, operating limits).

- Strong analytical thinking and ability to adapt to interdisciplinary challenges.

- Experience with electrochemical systems (e.g., fuel cells, electrolyzers, batteries) – Strong Advantage.

- Proficiency in numerical modeling and multi-physics simulations (e.g., CFD, FEA, electrochemical modeling) – An advantage.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

- High level of ownership, initiative, and perseverance

Electrode Production Technician (Electrochemical Manufacturing)

Location: Mevo Carmel, Yokneam, Israel

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Electrode Production Technician to join our growing production team.

This is a hands-on role in a wet / chemical / electrochemical production environment — not a mechanical assembly line or a classic manufacturing floor. If your background is limited to mechanical assembly, electronics production, or automated serial lines only, this role is likely not the right fit.

You will run the electrode production line day to day — preparing chemistries, operating equipment, coating, assembling cells, and driving production forward as we scale up.

Key Responsibilities

- Operating a wet chemical production line for electrode manufacturing

- Preparing slurries / inks and performing coating processes (blade / roller / slot-die)

- Assembling MEAs and electrochemical cells / stacks

- Operating and monitoring production equipment and instrumentation

- Performing in-line quality checks, routine maintenance and troubleshooting

- Documenting production data and following safety procedures

- Working closely with process and mechanical engineers to drive production forward

Must-Have Requirements:

- Practical engineer / technician diploma in Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a wet / chemical / lab-based production environment (not mechanical assembly)

- Comfortable working with liquids, chemicals, and precision measurement tools

Researcher – Materials Engineer

We are seeking ahighly motivated Materials Science and Engineering Researcher to joinour R&D team and contribute to the development of next-generationelectrochemical systems for CO₂ capture. In this role, you will work at theintersection of materials science, electrochemistry, and systems engineering todevelop, evaluate, and optimize active materials, electrode formulations,membrane–electrode assemblies (MEAs), and cell architectures that enhancedevice performance, efficiency, and durability.

Thismultidisciplinary position combines expertise in chemistry, materialsengineering, electrochemistry, and process engineering. You will collaborateclosely with the Process Development, Electrochemistry, and Integration teamsto translate advanced materials and manufacturing innovations intohigh-performing, scalable electrochemical cell technologies.

Thisposition is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, experiment‑drivenenvironment and wants to have a real impact on climate‑tech innovation. Youwill play a central role in developing the electrochemical core of thetechnology, directly impacting capture efficiency, energy consumption,durability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the advancement of technology at both materials and process levels.

- Perform and analyze investigative testing in various characterization techniques (SEM, EDS, XRD, Spectrophotometry, ICP-MS, TGA/DSC, NMR, Mechanical Testing, etc.) for both product development and failure analysis.

- Plan, execute, and analyze hands-on experimental work in a lab setting.

- Control surface characteristics including morphology, wetting, and interfacial properties to optimize electrode performance, mass transport, and long-term stability.

- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify cutting-edge developments and potential solutions.

- Work closely with Formulation & Electrochemistry teams to link material properties to electrochemical performance, and to propose new materials, and morphological manipulations.

- Collaborate closely with international R&D partners to accelerate project progress and innovation.

- Maintain high level of knowledge-documentation and organization.

- Develop tools and workflows for automated or semi‑automated data analysis.

Qualifications

Required:

- PhD. in Materials Science and Engineering, Solid-state Chemistry, or related fields, or alternatively MSc with at least 5 years of experience in relevant industries.

We are seeking amotivated and detail-oriented R&D Laboratory Technician to supportour research and development team. The technician will play a critical role inmaintaining laboratory operations and assisting scientists with thepreparation, fabrication, and assembly of electrochemical components and testcells. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and committed tomaintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support R&D activities through slurry preparation, electrode manufacturing, and electrochemical cell assembly following established procedures and quality requirements.

- Accurately document laboratory activities, material usage, and process data while ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and quality protocols.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment, including workspace organization, and adherence to laboratory safety standards.

- Manage laboratory inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking materials and consumables, receiving supplies, and maintaining organized storage areas.

Requirements:

- Practical experience working in a chemistry lab, including handling chemicals and following safety protocols.

- Experience working with batteries, electrochemical systems, coatings, or material processing.

- Strong ability to work in an organized, detail-oriented, and methodical manner, strictly following detailed protocols.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within an R&D environment.

- Self-learning capabilities and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.

- Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking) to follow technical documentation and communicate findings effectively – advantage.
